Ahead of the Remastered version, Horizon Zero Dawn's complete edition has been delisted from Epic Games Store and Steam. By visiting the Steam store page, people get an option to pre-purchase the remastered edition or buy the bundle, while the Epic Games Store simply displays ‘Unavailable’ and has a separate page for the upcoming game.

Set to release on October 31, the game is among one of those getting a retouch in visuals to bring it up to modern standards. This was also the case for PlayStation users, while the old game was not removed from the PS5 store, it did see a hefty price increase. The original game was previously priced at $19.99 but is now sitting at $39.99.

This was likely done in order to prevent players from getting the older version and upgrading to remastered for $9.99. It seems those who had previously purchased the game are in luck, as the remastered edition costs $49.99.

PC users also get cheap upgrade

Despite Epic Games Store completely making the original game unavailable, the official statement from PlayStation revealed that the game will also be available as an upgrade to PC platforms, meaning those who already purchased the game back in 2020 or even before the price change last month can upgrade for cheap.

Steam has a bundle containing both the original Horizon Zero Dawn and the remastered version. Following the same rule with the bundle offering the remastered edition for $9.99, separately, the game is priced at $49.99.

For players in India, we recommended getting the bundle even if players do not have the original game. The bundle is priced at Rs 3,199 and provides both games, while the remastered edition alone costs Rs 2,999.

As per the official reveal, Horizon Zero Dawn remastered features re-recorded voice-overs, Frozen Wilds expansion and further improvement to animation, lighting, textures and other little details. It was also among the games getting a PS5 support.
