Nintendo Switch 2 to see a three-phased game launch: Report

Nintendo is reportedly planning a three-phased game launch for the Switch 2 starting in June. Popular creators are also getting a hands-on experience at Nintendo Direct.

The complete reveal for Nintendo Switch 2 along with upcoming games for the device is closer than ever with Nintendo Direct taking place on April 2nd. Ahead of this, some interesting information has surfaced which says the device will see a three-phased for the upcoming games. All of these combined are set to provide back-to-back games on Switch 2 through 2025.

As reported by Insider Gaming, sources revealed that Switch 2 will launch sometime in June along with the three-phase strategy. The first phase is completely dedicated to first-party game launches. This means that the players are likely to see new Mario, Metroid Prime 4, and other games likely to be revealed during the upcoming Nintendo Direct.

Third-party games for Nintendo Switch 2 coming in October

The second phase will bring the third-party games and will start sometime in October-November. The dev kits for Switch 2 will be sent to everyone in June which does leave a huge game between Phase One and Two as the third phase will start during the holidays. It is unknown if Phase Three will also have exclusives or a mix of everything.

More rumors are floating to the release of Nintendo Switch 2 will be in early June, although the same is yet to be confirmed via an official announcement which isn’t too far away. A closer look at the hardware specs will also be revealed, something many people are excited about.

Switch 2 hands-on experience for select creators

Along with Nintendo Direct, the report further reveals that select creators will also get a chance to try the Switch 2 in person next week. These creators will be allowed to try the new games and give their thoughts on the device before it hits the market.
