Industry analysts agree on a unanimous pricing for Nintendo Switch 2 Photograph: (Nintendo)
One of the biggest questions that people want answered is the launch price of Nintendo Switch 2. The device is likely the most anticipated piece of gaming hardware that is set to release this year. Industry experts expect the device to sell millions within a short launch window and are also shaking hands on the expected release price.
In a Bloomberg report featuring interviews with multiple industry analysts, a majority of them are expecting a $400 price tag on the gaming handheld, but there is a chance it can go up to $500. There are reports that the device will run popular games like Call of Duty, GTA 5, Marvel Rivals, and others which is thanks to its updated hardware which is one of the reasons why we see a bump in the price, however, that may not be all.
Multiple reasons can affect Nintendo Switch 2 prices
These analyses are here to give people a general idea of what the price of Nintendo Switch could be. One of the reasons why it’s around $400 is that Nintendo President, Shuntaro Furukawa, himself told that Switch 2 will be priced at what people expect from their products. So far, it's been quite affordable, but things have changed, especially with the new import tariffs in the US.
The US recently increased tariffs towards countries like China, where a majority of hardware is manufactured and sent to other countries. This can result in an increased price, however, the report also says that the device will be assembled in Vietnam which can make things easy. Other countries are less likely to be affected by these changes.

Another factor is the scalpers who are likely to try and swipe the initial wave of Nintendo Switch 2 from online retailers. These people will try and sell them at a higher price. Nintendo is also reportedly ready for things like this but it remains to be seen how effective they will be.
Nintendo Switch 2 to sell regardless of pricing
Regardless of what the price is going to be, $400 or $500, the Nintendo Switch 2 is going to sell a lot of units globally. “They will sell boatloads of Switch 2 in the first months in particular, almost regardless of the price,” said Tokyo-based industry watcher Serkan Toto.
