As fans delve into Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix, new leaks reveal that Fortnite OG is set to return to permanent mode in December. First introduced back in November 2023, the OG Fortnite was a massive success, so much so that the official account even hinted at adding the mode back in the 2024 roadmap, but no one expected it to be true.
The leak comes from HYPEX and ShiinaBR who found out about this via an anonymous source but can confirm its legitimacy. Not only is the Fortnite OG returning, but the original seasons are also reportedly coming back on a rotational basis each month.

Chapter 2 Remix seemed like the next step, but as per leaks, the Fortnite OG is set to return after its conclusion in December alongside the regular Season 6. Furthermore, the one-month-long seasons will likely bring the smaller battle pass that players can currently get.
What’s more, is that all of this is expected to continue with regular seasons, however, since there is no official announcement, it is currently unknown how things will work out. Players have already seen multiple battle passes, so maybe the returning season will add another.
Furthermore, Epic Games recently announced that the XP gain is being streamlined to complete multiple passes at the same time. This could be one of the main prep work to introduce the new battle pass, and completing 3–4 passes separately would likely become a nightmare and cause burnout. As of now, players can simply jump into any mode and the XP gaming will count toward all the active battle passes.
