Starting out as a third-person shooter, Fortnite has evolved into the biggest battle royale game. Over the course, the game introduced a lot of new things including game modes ranging from racing, arena shooter and a lot more. However, there was one thing always missing from Fortnite, and that was first-person mode, worry not as Epic Games is coming up with a solution.

Currently available as an experimental feature, Fortnite has now added a new First Person Camera Mode available in Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) and creative mode allowing players to experience the game in first person.

Players can currently jump in to create their own unique thing in first person, however, these can only be published after the first person feature enters beta later this year. The feature is in very early stages and there are going to be bugs, despite that, players are making some impressive things including zombies mode from Call of Duty.

Once it is primed, it is very likely that epic will add this as an option alongside the regular third-person and zero-build mode, given that the mode has enough players. An early look at the mode does seem impressive and will likely bring people who usually won’t think about playing the game in thyroid person.

Limitations of First-Person Camera Mode

Since it is an experimental feature, there are some limitations. These will be fixed moving forward, but for now, users will have to make do with what’s available. These include missing animations, as most of the weapons do not have a custom animation at the moment.

Dual-wield weapons will switch the camera back to the third person alongside a few actions like swimming, gliding, and skydiving. This will also be the case during the beta, and more details on this will be added then. Some visual issues include no shadows and occasional clipping.
