Fortnite is arguably the most popular Battle Royale game, pulling in millions of players. Just like any other live service game, it features various battle passes with each seasonal and event update. Complete these pass can take a while, especially for those who do not play regularly. However, starting next season, Fortnite is making some big changes.
Players will soon be able to progress any pass together regardless of the activity. “Soon, Fortnite's pass progression systems will change to reward players regardless of what they like to play. By December 1, all passes in the game will progress simultaneously by earning XP from playing any experience,” the official post wrote.
This means players will share progress across the LEGO pass despite playing the regular game. The same goes for the Festival pass, which can be upgraded even by playing LEGO Fortnite. As of now, only the Battle Royale Pass have shared progress.

Leak suggests new Fortnite Festival artist is Snoop Dogg
These changes for pass progression will start on November 2nd with the new Fortnite Festival Season 6. Rumours suggest that the next artist for the Fortnite Festival is Snoop Dogg. Following that, the Brick or Treat LEGO Pass will follow the same starting December 1. Furthermore, the Battle pass will also turn into a single track featuring both free and premium rewards.
The Passes in Fortnite also use a different progression system, which is not very liked by the players, as they first need to collect stars which help them unlock items. The new changes make them regular battle passes from other games, where all players need you do is earn XP for progression.
All these changes come ahead of the highly anticipated Chapter 2 Remix, with returning faces and maps. The previous OG Fortnite update was very successful, and Epic Games is likely planning for similar success. Do note that players still need to purchase all three passes separately.
