Watch: Final trailer for Minecraft Movie ahead of April release

A Minecraft Movie is set to hit the theatres on April 4th and ahead of that, Warner Bros. gave fans a final look at what’s to come. Featuring Jack Black as Minecraft Steve, the trailer showcases a lot more of the world which features iconic mobs from the game. It also provides a general overview of the plot and what fans can expect.

“Welcome to the world of Minecraft, where creativity doesn’t just help you craft, it’s essential to one’s survival! Four misfits—Garrett “The Garbage Man” Garrison (Momoa), Henry (Hansen), Natalie (Myers), and Dawn (Brooks)—find themselves struggling with ordinary problems when they are suddenly pulled through a mysterious portal into the Overworld: a bizarre, cubic wonderland that thrives on imagination,” the description reads.

Minecraft Movie sparks interest among people

The first reveal of the Minecraft Movie saw various reactions with many making fun of the visuals and claiming it does not look like a Minecraft Movie. Others defended saying the movie is catered towards children which seems to be the case and looking to be a huge success.

However, the new trailer saw positive feedback from the community, likely due to more details showcased along with some iconic mobs. Since this is the first installment, it looks like the journey will be limited to the Nether only with Piglins as the main antagonists.

Minecraft Movie to bring new in-game content

Minecraft is currently the best-selling video game and a big reason for that is constant updates. No doubt the official movie will also bring even more in-game content. It’s hard to tell what may come, but looking at past updates, an expansion along with cosmetics is looking like the best guess at the moment.
