Minecraft is now officially available for PS5

The best-selling game in the world, Minecraft, is finally available natively on the PlayStation 5. This comes after four years of wait, just days before the 4th anniversary of the console. The best part is that players who already own the PS4 version can get a free upgrade for the game.

For those who are confused, the Minecraft people are currently playing on PS5 is the PS4 version. With the new addition, the game now has some next-gen upgrades like native support for 4K 60fps, better render distance and optimizations.

On the surface, these may not look like such big changes, but stand as a quality of life which shows its effectiveness not on paper but while playing the game itself. Another important thing to note is that Minecraft PS5 also features cross-play with any other Bedrock Edition.
