With a dominating victory in the upper bracket semifinals, Leviatán have now secured a spot for Sentinels at the Valorant Champions 2024. Sentinels were previously eliminated from the VCT Americas Stage 2 Playoffs by 100 Thieves, which prevented them from securing the top three sports that would lead to the main event.

With a loss in the pocket, Sentinels could only secure a spot through VCT Americas Points, for which they were tied with 100T. However, since Leviatán has already secured their spot, then securing the top three spots will automatically give Sentinels a win-by-points system.

Their most recent match against KRÜ Esports was a dominating victory, while G2 defeated 100T. One of the teams in the upcoming match between KRÜ and 100T will now be returning home, and the winner, alongside Leviatán and G2, will be in the top three of VCT Americas Stage 2.

Fans and the official social media account for Sentinels have thanked Leviatán for giving the team another lifeline. Furthermore, another one of the Valorant teams, KRÜ Esports or 100 Thieves, will also be ending their 2024 Valorant run as they both will not clash for a spot in the Valorant Champions in the lower bracket.

Leviatán’s unstoppable run continues

A spot for Sentinels was pretty much guaranteed after Leviatán took down KRÜ Esports in a dominating first match. The team secured 10 rounds alone in the first half, with their opponents struggling to hold the post-plant site. The situation remained the same for KRÜ, which also failed to defend itself. Although, the team already did not have much time to settle after the demoralizing first half.

The following game was KRÜ’s map pick, and fans were all in for support on their own map. However, Leviatán’s closed the first half once again with ten rounds in the bag. It was then clear that KRÜ might have to try their luck in the lower bracket. The team did see success in the opening rounds, but once Leviatán was on a gull buy, it was time to say goodbye.
