The latest Silent Hill transmission revealed a new entry in the horror franchise with ‘Silent Hill F’. Following the initial teaser back in October 2022, Konami has now released an official trailer for the game going a bit more into the story side. Fans are quite excited to see a new entry into the franchise and not limited only to remakes of old games.
“In 1960s Japan, Shimizu Hinako's secluded town of Ebisugaoka is consumed by a sudden fog, transforming her home into a haunting nightmare. As the town falls silent and the fog thickens, Hinako must navigate the twisted paths of Ebisugaoka, solving complex puzzles and confronting grotesque monsters to survive,” the description reads.

Silent Hill F Scriptwriter confident in the story
Last year’s Silent Hill 2 remake by Bloober Team was quite popular among fans but the new entry is developed by NeoBards Entertainment. The scriptwriter behind the game ‘Ryukishi07’ is quite popular for his previous works like 'Higurashi When They Cry', 'Loopers', and other horror stories, and sounded very confident in the story to the point he doesn’t mind this being the last thing he wrote.
“To me, the SILENT HILL series is more than just a collection of stories, it's a medium; an amazing, phenomenal way of exploring and experiencing a person's heart and mind. It's my hope that players out there will come to appreciate it in the same way. And to all of our overseas friends, I hope you'll enjoy a look at what SILENT HILL might be like if set somewhere a little different, like Japan,” he wrote.
Given his past work and how well games in recent years from Japanese studios have been some of the best releases, it is hard not to be excited about a new Silent Hill game. There is currently no release date but there is a Steam wishlist page and PC specs which means that the game is likely ready to ship this year.

I can't wait for more Silent Hill content. This looked really promising, but I wish we got some gameplay and a release date.

Looks very cool. I like the Japan nightmare style, just like Fatal Frame
