With the recent Xbox games showcase, the upcoming Call of Duty Black Ops 6 has built up even more hype among COD fans. The gameplay reveal showcased the new operative alongside returning characters like Adler who have seemingly gone rogue, creating another layer of mystery for fans to uncover.

What’s even more great news for fans was the return of round-based Zombies mode. The open-world zombies with Modern Warfare did not sit well with fans, and the announcement has got everyone’s attention. There is just one tiny issue that has been floating around.

Many of the fans believe that the upcoming Call of Duty title will take over 300 GB of space on their SSDs. This rumour came from a Reddit post which showcased the size of Call of Duty at 309 GB. Many players have simply refused to empty their storage just to play a game.

Will COD Black Ops 6 require 300 GB storage?

The news regarding the game eating up over 300 GB of your storage seems to be false. To settle these ongoing rumours, COD Updates on X reported that Black Ops 6 alone will not need this much storage on your PC.

The amount players saw on the Xbox pre-order page included multiple other COD games and their content. “The estimated file size currently displayed on the Black Ops 6 pre-order pages does not represent the download size or disk footprint for Black Ops 6,” the official post said.

The developers clarified that the 300+ GB included installations of Modern Warfare II, Modern Warfare III, Warzone and all relevant content packs, including all localized languages combined.

So there you have it, players who were worried about the game eating half of their dive and forcing them to uninstall other games can now take a breather. While the original download size is yet to be revealed, players assume it to be under 100 GB.
