We now have what appears to be the first official teaser for the upcoming Call of Duty Black Ops 6 game, and it is a lot different from what many were expecting. The revelation was by popular Call of Duty informer CharlieIntel on X.

The short video comes out in a cryptic way, where some people spray-painted ‘The Truth Lies’ across Mount Rushmore. Alongside the video, there is also a link to a website leading to the teaser. Following the link lands people on a website with a classic Black Ops interactive TV which plays the teaser.

Players can also switch channels and conveniently, there are only 6 channels available with three different teasers running on channels 1, 2 and 6. All the channels have one similar thing, Walls and monuments plastered with ‘The Truth Lies’.

The story is said to take place around the Gulf War, with multiple iconic characters making a return. While this could also be another hint for something, we will leave this for the hardcore fans to uncover.

In the meantime, the next instalment in the series will reportedly be announced next money during the Xbox Summer Showcase. There are also multiple reports that the new Call of Duty game will also be available on Xbox Game Pass on Day 1 as part of Microsoft’s plan to make games more accessible.

CoD have a new Rival

While the story aspect is one thing, this year, Call of Duty have a new rival in terms of multiplayer. XDefiant launched as free-to-play and have the potential to be a great competitor for the CoD franchise. The game features multiple servers across the globe, which may entice people to try out the game with better latency. CoD games also usually cost $70 which is far from beating the price of $0 unless they also make the multiplayer free-to-play.
