A day after the official launch, the Made in India Esports title, Indus Battle Royale has crossed over 1 million downloads on the Google Play Store. This is huge and showcases the interest in the game among players and an opportunity to improve upon the game in the future. The official post from the developers at SuperGaming also revealed more stats.

Celebrating the achievement, SuperGaming posted a detailed breakdown of what happened during that time, including the total number of matches, clutches, kills including chappal kills, grudges, and even the number of bullets fired and the player with the most grudges.

Total Kills: 10,50,747

While compared to its competitors the numbers are much lower, but with time and meaningful updates, the game can easily reach the same heights. “This is just the beginning. We can’t wait to see what India brings to Virlok next! Buckle up, because it’s only going to get wilder from here!” the post said.

Not everything is perfect on release

As expected, Indus Battle Royale does have some issues as many players reported game crashes, optimization, some issues with gunplay, and a few others in the mix. Since this is the first full-fledged mobile esports title developed in India, not everything is perfect on release.

The team was working with a much smaller staff and is still working on improving the game with constant feedback from players. It is highly advised to provide details of the issues, so the developers can fix them as soon as possible.

Developed with esports in mind, the game already has a roadmap for multiple esports tournaments. Featuring a prize pool of Rs 2.5 crore and multiple open qualifiers, the game will also provide a great opportunity for new players to rise in the esports scene.
