Community expectations through the roof for Hollow Knight Silksong

While fans did get a response that the whole cake thing in the profile picture was nothing. The account claiming ‘big day’ just before the reveal of Switch 2 was suspicious. Perhaps the community will finally get to have a first look at the game during the upcoming Nintendo Direct on April 2nd.

The original game was released back in 2017, a is considered among the best platformer games. Hollow Knight was among the fan favorites for best Indie game. While Cuphead swooped the award, Hollow Knight still made a huge mark, so bit that players have been waiting for over six years for the promised sequel.

Judging by the development period Silksong might be much larger in scope. Hollow Knight was a crowdfunded game that took three years to develop and was very successful which eliminates the future funding requirements. With the game taking double the time, players expect it to be at least double in size. Team Cherry previously confirmed that the game will feature a lot more enemies than the original.
