PC release of GTA 6 may be much sooner
Grand Theft Auto games usually land on PC after 8 to 12 months of the console release and the community expects the same with GTA 6. However, what if this isn’t the case this time and the most anticipated game may land on PC much earlier? That’s at least what the CEO of Corsair believes.
While Rockstar Games is yet to reveal the PC or even the console release date for GTA 6, Corsair’s CEO, ‘Andy Paul,’ says the game might arrive in early 2026. Answering some questions at the earnings call conference, he said that new games are going to give a boost to the company’s gaming business. He further said that, as per his understanding, GTA 6 is also coming in early 2026 on PC.
“GTA 6 is probably the one everyone is talking about. And we'll get a glimpse of that, I think, later on in the year for console. My understanding now is it's going to come out in the fall for consoles and then early '26 for PCs,” Paul said.
Take-Two says PC sales account for more revenue
While the early 2026 release for GTA 6 is simply a prediction from Corsair’s CEO, there’s a good reason to believe. Take-Two’s CEO recently acknowledged the growing popularity of PC gaming and while he confirmed that Rockstar has a tradition of releasing games on consoles, PC sales can account for 40% of the revenue.

How long will fans have to wait for the GTA 6 PC release?
As mentioned earlier, GTA games usually release after 8 to 12 months; however, this time fans may only have to wait six months or less to play GTA 6 on PC. Here’s how it can happen. The planned release is Fall 2025, which is anywhere between September 22nd and December 21st.
With Borderlands 4 landing on September 23rd, GTA 6 will likely be released a bit later. If all things go as planned and the game lands on consoles in November/December, players can get GTA 6 on PC within 4 to 6 months, which will be incredible.
