GTA 6 release remains on track; Take-Two confirms

Many people believe that Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 6 will face a delay shifting the release to early 2026. However, Take-Two Interactive is holding firm on the Fall 2025 release window, During the recent earnings call, the company once again confirmed this, revealing that GTA 6 and a few other games are on track.

“Looking ahead, this calendar year is shaping up to be one of the strongest ever for Take-Two, as we plan to launch Sid Meier’s Civilization VII on February 11th, Mafia: The Old Country in the Summer, Grand Theft Auto VI in the Fall, and Borderlands 4,” said Strauss Zelnick, Chairman and CEO of Take-Two Interactive.

Rockstar refuses to give more details about GTA 6 and its release

It has been well over a year since the first trailer for GTA 6 dropped on December 6, 2025. Despite that, Rockstar Games has been tight-lipped refusing fans any more information regarding the game. While most of the community has seemingly accepted that the second trailer will come when it comes, last year everyone had their speculation theory.

This radio silence from the developers has caused the rumor that GTA 6 will face a delay, however, Zelnick has reassured fans that there is no delay several times. He also told everyone to have faith in Rockstar, the game will exceed everyone’s expectations on launch and blow people away.

Will Rockstar release GTA 6 on Nintendo Switch 2?

GTA 6 on the Nintendo Switch 2 is something every gamer must be dreaming of, however, there isn’t any official confirmation. Many companies are expected to port their games to Switch 2, thanks to its upgraded hardware. As for GTA 6, it is hard to say anything as there is no information regarding both the hardware and the specifications for the game. The original device could not run GTA 5, but this could change this time around.
