A popular game director has now become worth 725 million dollars after the game became a massive success worldwide. Kim Hyung-tae is the director, and his game Stellar Blade has earned him so much fortune, and he is now one of the top 50 richest people in Korea.
The game that was released in 2024 became a massive hit, especially after the release of the PlayStation 5 console. It is still running successfully and pulling players into the online world even after one year of its release. Gameplay is about Eve, a soldier who is tasked with saving humanity from creatures called Naytiba. These creatures have infected the earth, and Eve is the lead character who saves the world. But some online critics criticise the design and appearance of the main character.

The game is too engaging, especially with the art style and the background soundtrack, which helps the players have a wonderful playtime. The success of the game had a huge impact on the director's personal life, and he is now one of the richest men in South Korea.

Millionaire after Stellar Blade's success
Kim Hyung-tae has now earned a $725 million fortune in just a year, and most of the credit goes to the Stellar Blade’s performance online. Not everything went into the director's pocket, as the developer studio Shift Up gave a bonus to every employee, which included a PS5 console and $3400.
People without PS5 don't need to wait so long to play the Stellar Blade game, as the studio is releasing a PC version this June 2025. They also believe the game will do a better job on PC than PlayStation and will be released by Steam. The game will additionally have a new DLC, which will give the players a great opportunity to fight new bosses and explore new places. The developer is also working on a new game called Project Witches, which will be released across many consoles like PCs, gaming consoles and mobile devices.
