The Elden Ring Nightreign network test brought a lot of surprises for fans, including an old face who made headlines when Elden Ring was released. Margit, the Fell Omen, served as the first actual boss of the game who stood guard at Stormveil Castle gate and stopped people on their journey to speedrun the game.

FormSoftware simply couldn’t let an iconic figure like this stand on the sidelines as he’s back to bring another layer of challenge to Nightreign. The encounter with Margit isn’t your typical mini-boss; instead, the omen will invade and hunt down players, similar to the invasions from the original game.

Margit described as most annoying invader in Elden Ring Nightreign

While other bosses can also invade the players, Margit is described as the most annoying one who is ready to chase players to the end. Annoying here is due to the character getting some new moves and dunking on many players during the network testing. What’s more is that he can also appear as one of the eight bosses on the final day.

If defeated by Margit, players will receive a permanent debuff which will have them take increased damage, making the run even harder. On surviving the fight, the opposite will happen as players will get a permanent buff for the duration of the run. In general, people loved this addition.
