As confirmed by Game Director Hidetaki Miyazaki in an interview with Game Watch, the company is working on multiple projects, but none of them is Elden Ring 2. The answer came as a response from a query by Game Watch regarding the future of Elden Ring.

“At this point, we are not considering developments such as "Elden Ring 2". However, this does not mean that we are denying the development of the IP "Elden Ring". As for "what will we do then?", FromSoftware is running multiple projects as usual. Among them, there are various variations of projects, so I hope you will look forward to them,” Miyazaki said.

Fromsoft working on multiple other games

As mentioned previously, the company is working on other IPs and at the moment, there is no information what they could be. Spark from Elden Ring, Fromsoft released Armored Core 6 which was a surprise release from the developers and recently reached three million sales. It’s possible that a new entry might be in work.

There are also multiple other games, like a new Dark Souls game or a completely new IP the company could be working on. Although fans are happy, they are also a bit concerned with the recent development between, Sony and parent company for FromSoftware, Kadokawa.

Sony is aiming to purchase Kadokawa Corporation and fans are worried if Sony get control of its IPs, they will likely become PlayStation exclusives meaning no day 1 release on PC and Xbox users will have to settle with gameplay videos.
