The Riyadh Masters 2024 for Dota 2 is one of the main highlights of the Esports World Cup is set to commence on July 4. Before that, twenty teams have already secured their spots at the event. Twelve out of these 20 teams still have to secure their spot in group stages, let’s check out all the specifics.

Qualified teams and format for Riyadh Masters 2024

Eight out of the twenty teams have secured their spots in the event through the ESL Pro Tour (EPT) Leaderboard and will be competing directly in the group stages. The remaining 12 teams have qualified through the regional qualifiers and will compete in the Play-in for a spot in the group stages leading to the Playoff. Here are all the qualified teams.

Teams in the Play-In will be divided into two groups of six. The top three teams from each group will move to the group stage, while the teams in 4th and 5th spot will battle out for the last two spots. In total, eight more teams will join the group stage.

Group Stage

The Group Stage will see teams into two groups of eight playing matches in a single round-robin format. Out of the 16, 12 will make it to the playoffs which will be played in a double-elimination bracket. The top four teams will move to the upper bracket of Playoffs while the teams in 5th and 6th spots will move to the lower brackets.

The winner will be taking home $1.5 million out of the $5 million prize pool and by the looks of the format, teams will be getting plenty of chance to make it to playoffs. Apart from the Prize money, the winning team will also receive a chunk of EWC Club championship points.
