One of the biggest complaints from players in Call of Duty Black Ops 6 is the cheating problem. With every update, people have raised several new issues regarding cheaters. Ahead of the Season 2 update, the Ricochet anti-cheat team has shared some stats revealing actions against over 136,000 accounts. The team also outlined plans.

In an official update post, the anti-cheat team highlighted all the measures they have taken since the introduction of the ‘Ranked’ game mode. Apart from banning cheaters, detection tools have also been updated for blatant cheaters in Black Ops 6 and Warzone. The time to take action against these accounts has also been reduced.

Players were once again reassured that spam reporting a player also does not work as the reports are accepted for the first time only. Although, the entire Call of Duty community is debating this topic. Furthermore, those who spam report are also going against the ‘Security and Enforcement Policy’.

Those who often queue up with cheaters or are using cheating services to boost their accounts will also be flagged. Repeat offenders will be issued a warning and if ignored, they will likely be treated as cheaters facing similar consequences.

Future updates regarding Black Ops 6 anti-cheat

With the release of Season 2, there will be new client and server-side detections some ‘Major kernel-level driver update’. As for future seasons, the anti-cheat teams claimed they will introduce a new authentication system to find out legit players and target cheaters. This is due to an increasing number of incidents with cheaters getting regular players banned.

While the sugarcoat from Ricochet anti-cheat has been a regular occurrence, players claim that till now, all the methods haven’t been very effective. Although, the option to disable crossplay for console players was highly appreciated. The effect of these recent changes is yet to be observed during Season 2.
