A week after the official teaser dropped, Call of Duty (CoD) have now revealed the WWE superstars that are set to make an appearance as operation inside the game. Cody Rhodes, Rhea Ripley, and Rey Mysterio will be making an appearance with the Warzone Season 5 and will also be available in Modern Warfare 3 (MW3).

The original reveal came with the official Call of Duty Season 5 trailer that is set to release on July 24. Following that, another post confirmed the three superstars that will be joining the ranks starting next season. Speculations regarding the three were already made by fans, and it seems that they were on point.

What is coming in Call of Duty Season 5?

Rhea Ripley will be a part of the battle pass, while Cody Rhodes and Rey Mysterio will be available in the operator bundle. Alongside the three WWE stars, players will also get to play a new limited-time game mode called ‘Slam Deathmatch’ that will be available during the upcoming SummerSlam for WWE.

This mode will work as the usual deathmatch but with a twist. Using weapons, players can only down their opponents, however, in order to gain a point, they will need to perform a finisher. The finisher will be randomized and seems to be the signature move of the WWE stars.

Apart from the WWE theme, there are also multiple additions to the game itself. These include new Cel-shaded variants for some of the iconic maps, weapons, mini-games and more. Superstore POI will also be returning to the Warzone.

The MW3 Zombies will also see the conclusion with season five, as the Mid-Season update will see the final story mission. This is likely due to the devs shifting focus to the upcoming CoD Black Ops 6 zombies, as players are much more excited about the round-based zombies.
