All hopes for Team Falcons crushed after third loss at CS2 Shanghai Major: European RMR A

A sad day for s1mple fans as Team Falcons lost an important match at the Perfect World Shanghai Major European RMR A and will not be returning home. This was one chance for everyone to see the legend back in action in CS2 for the first time, but things did not go well in their elimination map against Gamer Legion.

Since the beginning of the BO3, the Falcons were on shaky ground on Vertigo. Following a decent first half, the team fell apart on the attacking side, losing the match 6-13, which was already a bad look for a team featuring some of the best Counter-Strike players.

The team swiftly recovered lost grounds in the following match, defeating Gamer Legion with a 13-7 scoreline, but the star player that Falcons recently loaned, s1mple, was yet to activate. Sadly, by the time he did in the decider match, his teammates were out of juice, resulting in a 7-13 defeat.

Team Falcons isn’t necessarily the most popular team out there, but the addition of s1mple had people hoping to see the player in the Major. Perfect World Shanghai Major will be the last CS2 Major of 2024 and fans will likely see s1mple back on the big screen in 2025.

As of now, he is currently competing with Team Falcons as a loaned player, however, many believe that NaVi might go through this deal and the player will then be parting ways with his old org. On the other hand, rumours suggest Falcons are eying Niko from G2 Esports.
