Rishabh Pant suffered a severe injury while batting on Day 1 of the fourth Test against England at Old Trafford, Manchester, where he attempted to reverse sweep Chris Woakes. However, the right-arm pacer delivered a yorker, and Pant's shot had a stright impact on his toe, which led to a bad fracture.
Pant seemed to be in heavy pain, as he moved away from the pitch and started to limp. The star batter called for the physio's attention and tried his best to recover. However, as the physios treated him, it was visible that the injury was a bit too bad, as Pant could not even stand on his feet properly.

Swelling was properly visible as the cameras focused on Pant's toe. Even after applying sprays, the Southpaw was visibly not fit to continue in the match. As he was not even able to walk properly, Pant was taken off the ground in a vehicle, leading to concerns of the Indian fans.
Is Rishabh Pant ruled out of the remainder of the Test series against England?
Since then, there has been an uncertainty over the participation of the star batter in the remainder of the match. While there is no certain update on his availability on the rest of the series, many initial sources claim he could be out of action for about six weeks, which could mean him being ruled out of the remainder of the Test and the series.

For the naked eyes, the injury seemed very serious. Even with pain, Pant was able to bat in both innings of the Lord's Test, which showed his fighting spirit. But a fracture on toe could mean Pant being well ruled out of both Manchester and the Oval Tests.
