The Pakistan skipper and star batter Babar Azam is on the line of fire after the team’s dismal performance and early exit from the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024. The men in green lost even to the lower-ranked team like the United States of America in their campaign opener in the tournament. Later, Babar Azam’s men faced a defeat against the arch-rivals India in a low-scoring where they failed to chase a low target of 120 runs.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Cricket Team and skipper Babar Azam have been on the receiving end of huge criticism from all angles.

In the same line of developments, the Federal Minister in Pakistan and a Member of the National Assembly, Abdul Qadir Patel brutally trolled the Cricket Team’s skipper Babar Azam. Qadir made roasting remarks about Babar Azam during a speech in the assembly.

The PPP (Pakistan People’s Party) leader also drew the parallels of Babar Azam with the former Pakistan skipper and jailed former Primer Minister, Imran Khan. Qadir recalled the ‘missing cypher’ incident related to the PTI (Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf) chairman, Imran Khan.

Here’s the video:

“Yeh cricket team ko kya hua (what’s wrong with our cricket team?). They lost to America (USA), they lost to India.   Toh Babar Azam ko apne hi kisi senior cricketer se haarne ke baad ek jalsa rakhe aur ek kaagaz lehraaye, aur bole 'dekho yeh mere khilaaf saazish hui hai (Babar Azam should take a lesson from one of his senior cricketers [hinting at former cricket team captain and Pakistan's ex-Prime Minister, Imran Khan] and throw a party after losing where he should wave some documents in public stating, ‘there’s been a conspiracy against me’,” said Patel.

“Jab usko PCB waale pakde ki 'uss khat mein kya hai, batao toh sahi ki tum kyu haar gaye?', vol bolte ki 'sir voh toh mere se gum hogaya' (when the PCB gets hold of him and ask him about what exactly was written in those sets of pages, about why Pakistan lost, he would reply that the documents got misplaced),” he added later
