Jofra Archer bowled the fastest spell of his Test career in the 73rd over of the third Test against India. On Day 3 of the Lord's Test, the fast bowler operated against Nitish Kumar Reddy, Ravindra Jadeja, and other Indian batters with an average speed of 90.28 mph, which was insane. Archer's bouncer barrage was fiery and the Indian batters had no answers to it.

Archer bowled the first ball of the over against Jadeja and targeted his rib cage. Jadeja cleverly left the ball which was travelling at a speed of 92.7 mph (149.3 kmph). The second ball was even better, as it was right towards the chest region of the Southpaw at a pace of 93.1 mph (149.9 kmph).

As Jadeja took a single, Nitish Kumar Reddy faced the third ball, which was on the off stump. Reddy defended the 92.0 mph (148.06 kmph) well and prepared for another fiery delivery. The fourth ball of the over was deadly too, as Archer bowled a short delivery at 90.5 mph (145.64 kmph), well ducked by the young batter.

The fifth ball of the over was slightly short at 91.9 mph (147.9 kmph) and Reddy defended it well. The sixth ball of the over was a sharp bouncer at 91.4 mph (147.1 kmph), and the right-handed batter let it go without suffering any damage.

On Day 2 and 3 of the Lord's Test, Archer has bowled the fastest he ever has in a day of a Test match. On Day 2, Archer's average speed was 89.78 mph, while it was a deadly 90.28 mph on Day 3, which are now two of his fastest recorded spells in a day of a Test match.
