Yashasvi Jaiswal opened up on his bonding with Rohit Sharma and claimed that him scolding is like showering love. The star player noted that Sharma scolds as much as he loves his teammates. He felt as if it's abnormal to not see Sharma not scolding almost to the point that makes one wonder if he is upset with individuals.
"Rohit bhaiya scolds us, he also loves us just as much. There is love in his scolding. Sometimes, when Rohit Bhaiya doesn’t scold us, it feels like, Is he upset with us? So even his scolding feels like affection & his love for all of us," Jaiswal said in an interview with Aaj Tak.

The Southpaw revealed the importance of Rohit and Virat Kohli to the players in the Indian team. He claimed that their presence in the dressing room helps the players to learn a lot. The star player added that the duo played with high intensity for many years for India.
"They tell us to not commit the mistakes that they did," - Yashasvi Jaiswal
"Rohit and Virat being in the Indian team is of huge help. Just the things that they discuss in the dressing room, you learn about the game. We get motivated by seeing them - the way they have played at such a high intensity for so many years," he said.

Jaiswal added that the players get motived by seeing Virat and Rohit. He claimed that the veteran duo ask the youngsters to not commit the mistakes they did in their younger days. "We get motivated. They teach us like little brothers. They tell us to not commit the mistakes that they did not only as a cricketer but as humans as well," he added.
