The Indian opener revealed that Shubman is one of the players he admires the most. "Gill bhai is the most hardworking person in the Indian cricket team. I have seen him closely: he is consistent with his training and fitness routines. It is just unbelievable and I really enjoy playing with him," Jaiswal said in an interview with Aaj Tak.

Given Jaiswal isn't in the Indian T20 plans currently, he was asked to give his opinion. He claimed that it's his dream to play the T20 World Cup. "My dream is to play the T20 World Cup, but I try to focus on my game and will wait for my time," Jaiswal added.

He also opened up on how Rohit helped him stay calm during his maiden ODI ton. "When I started my innings, I was nervous because I hadn’t scored runs in my previous two matches. During that innings, Rohit bhai talked to me a lot. He kept explaining how I could play & what I could do," Jaiswal added.

"I was under pressure because I had played quite a few dot balls, and I also had to think about maintaining a good strike rate. That’s when Rohit bhai told me, ‘You play calmly, I’ll take the risks.’ And you could see how big hearted he was he was taking most of the risks because he wanted me to settle in and keep playing," Jaiswal revealed.
