Pakistan faces a massive blow as a huge fire broke out in a hotel in Karachi where the Women's National Championship was held. It was a team hotel for five teams playing in the tournament, and the players were stuck inside and were rescued by breaking the window.

To be precise, five players were recused from their respective hotel rooms, while others were in the National Cricket Academy, Karachi. The sad part is that the playing equipment which the players carried around was destroyed.

Fortunately, all the players were safe, and considering the situation, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) decided to cancel the entire event. This has raised a lot of controversy amidst PCB's stubbornness in holding the Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan. They aren't ready to share the hosting rights with any other country. The BCCI isn't sending team India to play the tournament in Pakistan even if it means that they will have to withdraw from an ICC event.

Now, Pakistan are in trouble as their hosting rights might be taken away from them after this massive incident that happened in Karachi. The safety issues that India has been raising until now have been proven right. So, the ICC will look for alternative places to hold the tournament.

At this moment, every team that has qualified for the Champions Trophy is ready to come: Mohsin Naqvi

Pakistan Cricket Board chief Mohsin Naqvi spoke to the media regarding the Champions Trophy 2025 preparations and mentioned quite clearly that all the qualified teams will be going to the allocated venue for the tournament. He precisely named India and said that the BCCI should contact them directly if they face any issues regarding sending the player to the neighbouring states.

Speaking to the media PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi also said, “At this moment, every team that has qualified for the Champions Trophy is ready to come. Nobody has any issues. I will say today also, if India has any concerns, speak to us about them, we can ease those concerns. I don't think there is any reason for them not to visit."
