The Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025 ended on a thrilling note, as India won the last match of the series at The Oval by 6 runs to tie the series 2-2. Many players did well individually, and some of them delivered an all-time great performance. Based on the performances of these individuals, here is the team for the series featuring both Indian and English players -

Openers - KL Rahul and Ben Duckett

KL Rahul was the best opener of the series and will hence walk into the side. The right-handed batter scored 532 runs in 10 innings at an average of 53.20, including 2 hundreds and fifties each. Ben Duckett will be his opening partner, who scored 462 runs in 9 innings, at an average of 51.33, including a hundred and 3 fifty-plus scores.

Middle Order - Joe Root, Shubman Gill, and Rishabh Pant

At number 3, there were no standout performers, which meant Joe Root had to bat slightly up the order, which could be expected from him, given his caliber. The right-handed batter scored 537 runs in 9 innings at an average of 67.12, including 3 hundreds and a fifty. To follow him at 4 will be one of the Players of the Series, Shubman Gill.

The Indian skipper delivered an all-timer performance, scoring a whopping 754 runs in 10 innings, which included 4 daddy hundreds. To follow him at 5 would be Rishabh Pant, who will also keep wickets for the side. The Southpaw scored 479 runs in 7 innings at an average of 68.42, including 2 hundreds and 3 fifties.

Honorable Mention: Harry Brook

Lower Middle Order - Ravindra Jadeja, Ben Stokes, and Washington Sundar

At Number 6, the team will have Ravindra Jadeja, who will be a designated batter and bowl if needed. The Southpaw scored 516 runs in 10 innings at an average of 86.00, including a hundred and five 50-plus scores. With the ball, he claimed 7 wickets but was not as effective as he otherwise would be.

At number 7 would be Ben Stokes, who was England's best player of the series. The English skipper scored 304 runs in 7 innings at a batting average of 43.42 and claimed 17 wickets in 8 innings at a bowling average of 25.23. To follow him at 8 would be Washington Sundar, who scored 284 runs in 8 innings at an average of 47.33 and claimed 7 wickets.

Bowlers - Jasprit Bumrah, Josh Tongue, and Mohammed Siraj

The bowling attack will feature Jasprit Bumrah, Josh Tongue, and Mohammed Siraj. Bumrah will operate with the new ball, while Tongue and Siraj can team up with him based on the conditions. One of them would be the first change, while the team has Stokes as the second change, who was the best bowler of the series.

Sundar can be handy as the fifth bowler, and Jadeja can bowl some overs, if needed. While Bumrah failed only in the Manchester Test, Tongue and Siraj were wicket-takers more often than not. Stokes was exceptional with the ball, operating mostly with the old ball, and delivered one of the greatest performances for an All-rounder in a series.

Honorable Mentions: Prasidh Krishna, Jofra Archer, Akash Deep, Gus Atkinson
