India claimed a thrilling 6-run win in the Oval Test to level the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2-2. Mohammed Siraj won the Player of the Match award for claiming 9 wickets throughout the match. The Indian pacer redeemed himself with a great performance after a heartbreak in the Lord's Test, where luck wasn't on his side.

In the Lord's Test, India needed 46 runs to win for the last wicket when Siraj walked out to bat. Despite not being a designated batter, the star player batted well, showed great defense, and scored 4 runs in 30 balls. Most importantly, he ensured Ravindra Jadeja could concentrate on his batting at the other end by showing enough confidence as a batter.

However, when Bashir bowled the eventual delivery that got him out, Siraj had defended perfectly. His luck was bad, as the ball bounced back to hit the stumps, ensuring England won the Test by just 22 runs. Siraj was visibly heartbroken, as India lost the match due to none of his mistakes.

Come the Oval Test, Siraj was India's leader of the attack in the absence of Jasprit Bumrah. He led the Indian attack well by claiming a total of nine wickets in the Test. It was not an easy path to win for Siraj, as he dropped Harry Brook's catch of Akash Deep's bowling.

Despite the demons in his mind, Siraj had a field day with the ball in the second innings, as he led India when they needed 4 wickets with just 35 runs to defend on the last day of the Oval Test. His taking the last wicket of the series was a fitting end to an enthralling contest between the two good Test sides.
