Max Verstappen is now the face of Formula 1 as the Dutchman dominates back-to-back races and seasons with his unbelievable talent and aggressive skills. In the current 2024 season, he is not the best as his car is having many issues but even then he finishes in podiums which shows how good a driver he is. But it all started when Red Bull introduced a young Max Verstappen to the Toro Rosso team 10 years ago in Japan. As Lewis Hamilton started to dominate Formula 1 for Mercedes, Max Verstappen started his journey in the sport.

Verstappen's Debut race 10 years ago

Verstappen proved his worth within two years at Red Bull as he replaced Danii Kvyat in Red Bull during the 2016 Mid-season. Danii was often called a crasher for his dangerous racing and many other drivers complained. So Kvyat was replaced with Max Verstappen for the 2016 Spanish GP. At the start of the race, the two Mercedes cars of Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg collided with each other opening a new way for Max Verstappen's Formula 1 Career.

He took the lead and became the youngest-ever Formula 1 winner. He also gave Red Bull victory in his first-ever opportunity at the senior team and thus was kept alongside Daniel Ricciardo. The only thing that comes to Max Verstappen's mind during races is about winning and doesn't care anything other than that. Now he is a 3-time world champion who ended Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes's Dominance from the sport.

Red Bull Boss Helmut Marko spoke about bringing Max Verstappen into the Austrian Brand as a young rookie. Marko was in charge of the junior team and he learnt Jos Verstappen was training his son Max very hard. Marko brought the young man into the team as he was already impressed with him. Max joined alongside Carlos Sainz who is now in Ferrari. Usually, Junior Formula 1 driver's ages are 19,20 but Max Verstappen was just 16 years old and got the chance only because of his talent.

Many warned Marko about bringing young Max Verstappen to Formula 1 which is a bad decision and also dangerous as a rookie he could cause an accident. But the Red Bull boss had full faith in Max Verstappen’s abilities and talent.  Max never let down his boss looking at the results now.  Helmut Marko hopes the partnership with Max will continue in the future.
