The MotoGP Australian Practice session was completed after the organisers and riders battled hard against rain and many other hurdles to finish the session. The Philip Island circuit in Australia saw one of the toughest days to race where the track was completely soaked in rain.
The practice session was already interrupted by rain, and the first free practice session was cancelled. The only practice session of the day started after the rain stopped, and many riders found it difficult to find grip on their bikes due to the track conditions.
Some riders lost their grip and fell off the track mid of the session forcing yellow flags to be waved. There were also animal interventions in the middle of the session where some birds walked down the track which caused Red Flags and the riders had to wait for the birds to cross so the session could start again.

MotoGP 2024 championship leader Jorge Martin was one of the riders who pulled off a miracle save during his practice session. He was riding in the track and suddenly in one corner, he found an unexpected guest running on the track.
During a corner cutting Jorge Martin saw a rabbit running in the middle of the track. The corner was at very high speed even Jorge Martin couldn't hold off the speed he was carrying. Fortunately, the Rabbit’s speed is fast enough to cross the track nearly missing an unfortunate incident that could have happened to Jorge Martin and the animal.
That was a scary save by Jorge Martin kudos to the rider for pulling off an amazing miraculous save that could have turned ugly for the viewers. Jorge Marin finished fourth in the Practice session alongside Marc Marquez, Alex Marquez and Marco Bezzecchi.
Martin had an earlier crash as he nearly missed crashing with Fabio Quartararo of Yamaha during a corner cutting. He again rejoined the session and finished fourth. The Marquez brothers of Gresini racing finished one and two alongside VR46 teams Bezecchi, Prima Pramac Racings Jorge Martin and Francesco Bagnaia of Ducati making it all Ducati top 5 finish to the session.
