As the Hungarian Grand Prix weekend unfolded, it wasn't just the turbulent weather and red-flagged FP sessions making headlines. McLaren's Oscar Piastri found himself at the centre of an unusual fan interaction that left onlookers both amused and puzzled.

The chaos began with severe storms ravaging the Hungaroring, causing extensive damage to several teams' motorhomes, including McLaren's. The storm's aftermath saw the roof of McLaren's motorhome blown off twice, forcing the team to relocate to their engineering motorhome. Amidst this backdrop, a peculiar incident involving Oscar Piastri captured the spotlight.

Here is the video:

Known for his charismatic and engaging personality, Piastri often draws significant fan attention. However, during this particular encounter, the fervour of one fan reached an unexpected level. As Piastri was making his way to the paddock, a fan approached him with an unusual request.

How has fan interaction turned bizarre for Piastri?

Initially, the interaction seemed routine, with Oscar Piastri obliging to sign autographs and take selfies. But things took a bizarre turn when the fan, seemingly overwhelmed with gratitude, pulled out a wad of cash and attempted to hand it to Piastri.

Caught off guard, Piastri tried to politely decline the offer, explaining that he couldn’t accept money from fans. However, the fan was insistent, practically pleading for Piastri to take the cash as a token of appreciation.
