Lando Norris was spotted in the stadium during the Euro 2024 final between England and Spain. During the 61st minute of the match, the cameraman managed to spot the F1 driver in the arena. The McLaren driver acknowledged the focus on him by showing his support to the runner-ups. England was not in a good position at that point during the match.
In fact, they did not seem to be at their best till Cole Palmer walked onto the pitch. Spain was 1-0 up and cruising in the match. England needed a bit of inspiration. As Palmer walked in, he produced a brilliant goal in the 74th minute of the match which brought the British back in the match. Norris was overjoyed for it and cheered the goal and the comeback of England.

Unfortunately, the happy moments of England remained just for some time. In the 87th minute of the match, Oyarzabal produced a goal that sealed the match for the 2012 champions. It turned out to be yet another heartbreak for England who lost their second consecutive final in the Euros. The trophy did not come home for the second time they got closer.
Fans blame Lando Norris for England's loss
Fans took to X, Instagram, and other social media platforms to express their disappointment for the loss. Some of the users who spotted Norris in the stadium held him responsible for the loss. Many felt he was bad luck for England in both Formula 1 and as a fan. The users also blamed Harry Kane who could not perform his best on the night of the final.
It was a dominating performance by Spain who had better control over England in the match. The 4-time champions showed why they deserved to win the title. Norris has improved well as a driver but is yet to win a major title. Even in the British GP, Norris could not win the title in Silverstone. Some of the fans criticized him for his attendance at the match.
