Yuki Tsunoda's high-pressure lap during Free Practice 2 (FP2) ahead of the Hungarian Grand Prix turned into a tense exchange with his race engineer, Mattia Spini. The VCARB driver, known for his fiery temperament, once again displayed his frustration over team communications, a moment captured and broadcast to F1TV viewers.

As the session neared its end, drivers were hurriedly switching to soft tyres to simulate qualifying pace after a red flag caused by Charles Leclerc's crash in Turn 4. This created an atmosphere of urgency, and Tsunoda was no exception. As he prepared for his final push lap, Spini urged him over the radio, saying, “Let’s go. Let’s go. Let’s go. Charge off.” Tsunoda's immediate response was sharp, snapping back, “OK, don’t rush me!”

Here is the picture:

Despite the urgency, Tsunoda’s lap did not go as planned. He finished the session in 19th place, and his post-lap reaction, which was exclusively broadcast on F1TV, revealed his frustration. “I think you should just let me— ****!” he exclaimed. Spini attempted to calm the situation, replying, “Yuki, we’re just trying to help,” to which Tsunoda sarcastically retorted, “Thanks for the help!”

Yuki Tsunoda has been a serial offender!

This incident is not an isolated one for Tsunoda, who has faced criticism for his radio outbursts in the past. In 2022, Helmut Marko labelled him a “problem child” and recommended therapy. Earlier this season, during the Austrian Grand Prix qualifying, Tsunoda was fined for using an ableist slur on the radio, adding to his list of controversies.

Tsunoda's passionate nature is a double-edged sword, providing both moments of brilliance and contentious interactions with his team. As the Hungarian Grand Prix approaches, all eyes will be on the young driver to see if he can channel his intensity into a successful race weekend.
