George Russell continued the good form from the practice rounds to top the qualification round in the Las Vegas GP. With a finish of 1 hour and 32.312 minutes, he won the race to qualify for the main race. Carlos Sainz and Pierre Gasly finished 2nd and 3rd, respectively. Ferrari had a good outing as both their drivers were in the top 5.
It turned out to be a good race as the winning result had better timing than the practice races. Franco Colapinto made the headlines with his crash. Russell was at his best yet again as he gave Mercedes a good lead in the cold conditions. He won the race with a timing of 1 hour and 32.312 minutes.
Lewis Hamilton, Russell's teammate, who finished 6th in the third practice round, finished 10th. Ferrari was the best team in the race as Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc finished 2nd and 4th respectively. Sainz continued his good form and got closer to Russell.
Gain for Alpine, McLaren fall
While Carlos had a timing of 1 hour and 32.410 seconds, Leclerc had a timing of 1 hour and 32.783 minutes. Alpine witnessed a huge spike compared to the practice round. Pierre Gasly had a great race where he clocked a time of 1 hour and 32.664 minutes to claim the third spot.
Max Verstappen finished with the same result he had in the third practice session. His timing was 1 hour, 32.797 minutes, a huge improvement from his previous race. Unlike the practice session, the qualifying race was closer with a lot of drivers in the timing of the 1 hour and 32 minute mark.
Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri fell in their spots compared to the practice round. While Norris had a timing of 1 hour and 33.008 minutes, Piastri had a timing of 1 hour and 33.033 minutes. Yuki Tsunoda and Niko Hulkenberg finished 7th and 9th respectively. The duo had a timing of 1 hour and 33.029 minutes and 1 hour and 33.062 seconds, respectively.
