Max Verstappen and Pierre Gasly wanted to do something valuable in life together for their girlfriends

Verstappen and Gasly both have a Portuguese-speaking girlfriend. So apart from racing in Formula 1, both wanted to learn something new in life.

Max Verstappen and Pierre Gasly who are friends from childhood shared Poidums after the Brazilian Grand Prix where Verstappen won the wet race while Gasly finished third next to his teammate Esteban Ocon. The Red Bull driver displayed one of the finest racing skills and won the race comfortably while many other drivers struggled to find grip on the track. But the two friends have one thing in common with them. Both are dating Portuguese-speaking girlfriends. 

After the race, Both the drivers came to the driver's press conference and asked to say something for the Brazil fans. Brazil is the country where Portuguese is spoken as the official language as they were ruled by the Portuguese empire in the past. Rio De Janeiro city even acted as the capital city of the Portuguese empire instead of Lisbon.

Learn some Portuguese together

The Dutchman said “I would say thank you very much. You served me well. Pierre Gasly said “Muito Obrigado. We have to take those lessons together. His girlfriend is Portuguese.” For this Verstappen replied, “We have a shared interest in Portuguese lessons.” And Gasly concluded with a laugh.

Max Verstappen is in a living relationship with Brazilian Model Kelly Piquet who is the daughter of 3 time Formula 1 world champion Nelson Piquet. His French friend Pierre Gasly is dating Kika Cerqueira Gomes from Portugal. So both need to learn the Portuguese language for their life career.

Gasly also appreciated the Brazilian Formula 1 fans for coming in huge numbers despite heavy rain. He said “Just look at the crowd. Honestly, it's such an iconic racetrack. This year was also very special with the legacy Ayrton Senna left and with 30 years, so it was, as Esteban said, I think this morning at 5 AM when my eyes were quite closed because I was still a bit sleepy, once I saw everyone queuing and I was like, Wow, that was very Impressive.”
