'You can definitely assume that..' - Lawrence Stroll on Aston Martin getting Adrian Newey onboard (Source: X)
Lawrence Stroll gave an update on Aston Marton signing a contract with Adrian Newey. The massive signing from Aston Martin owner with the Red Bull manager could take place before the Azerbaijan tour. When asked about the same in a recent interview, Stroll hoped to bring him on board. He claimed to have been waiting for it for a long time.
"I certainly hope so. Adrian Newey and I have been talking not only for months but actually for years," said Lawrence. The owner of Aston Martin claimed Adrian to be one of the most talented and gifted individuals in the Formula 1 track. He claimed that the star manager has a great track record and history in managing a team like Red Bull.
"Adrian is clearly the most talented and gifted individual in Formula One, based on his track record and history," added Stroll. He further expressed the eagerness to welcome Newey onboard as the latest member of Martin. He spoke for everyone and claimed everyone in the grid would feel the same regarding the massive move.

"So, I'd be very excited for Adrian to join our team, as I think every other Formula One team on the grid would feel exactly the same," added Stroll in the interview. Newey recently unveiled the new engine that he built for Red Bull during its anniversary. However, the star manager hasn't extended his contract with Red Bull after the end of his current contract which ends in 2026.
In the interview, Stroll was asked if the deal with Adrian was confirmed. While the Aston Martin owner did not confirm anything, he claimed that the team would try everything in its might to get Adrian on board. "You can definitely assume that," Stroll concluded. Getting Adrian to Aston could be the best thing to happen for Stroll. They could get better engines than they already have. It could impact the performances of the team in the right way in the days to come.
