The Austrian team Red Bull is facing uncertainty over its future in Formula 1 as key members of the team exited the team after the death of their CEO. Their driver Max Verstappen’s future is also looking uncertain as rumours suggest he could make a move to Mercedes after the 2025 season.

But Red Bull’s Chief advisor Helmut Marko said “It's a usual game in Formula 1.” The biggest thing that hit Red Bull this year was their key designer Adrian Newey moving to Aston Martin. Again lightning struck twice as their sporting director became team principal of the Audi F1 team and Will Courtney became sporting director for McLaren F1.

All three were integral parts of the Red Bull F1 team for more than a decade. Max Verstappen’s father Jos Verstappen has warned the Red Bull team that many key members leaving the team is too dangerous. The rival teams Aston Martin, Audi F1, and McLaren will now benefit from Red Bull’s key members and they could also be championship winners in the future.

Talking about key members leaving the team Red Bull's chief advisor Helmut Marko said “It hurts but the budget cap doesn't allow us to hold that's the way it goes.” The Formula 1 budget cap doesn't allow teams like Red Bull to spend more on their technicians and many rival teams are pouring them with double the package which Red Bull can't spend.

Red Bull could fall apart like Domino's

Similar to Red Bull many successful teams fell apart in the past. Williams and McLaren were the most successful teams in the past but their key members left them for rival teams and then the struggle started for them. Now, it's happening to Red Bull and soon everything could fall apart if the team doesn't produce enough results. Max Verstappen could also leave the team if the team couldn't give him the championship-winning car.

Already there are many rumours that Mercedes Boss Toto Wolff and Max Verstappen held talks with each other over a potential driver seat at Mercedes F1 team in 2026. Jos Verstappen and Christian Horner were locking horns with each other over the past few months. Everything is not running smoothly at Red Bull.
