The F1 season has been giving us some great races which we have been looking forward to as racing fans in general and it has been a treat to watch. This has been another season where it has been Red Bull who has been leading the rankings. The team has been having one of the best engines and cars which have dominated the races which have been going on with 5 wins and 10 Podium finishes so far with 276 points on the board.

Though we all have been impressed with the performance of their number 1 driver Max Verstappen, who is once again leading the rankings and is the favourite to be the World champion once again, the performance of his partner Sergio Perez has been slightly underwhelming in the last few races he has participated in. Even in the last race where we saw Max dominate Barcelona once again, Perez in the end finished 8th in the Spanish Grand Prix.

Hornet speaks on Perez's form

Sergio Perez has not been in the best of forms and is currently ranking 5th in the rankings this season with 4 Podium finishes to his name. The last time the Mexican had a podium to his name was five races ago in China and after that, it has been a struggle for him throughout the season. Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has also given his take on the form of Perez saying " Before the race, simulation said that P8 was the optimum from 11th on the grid, So, he achieved that. We did it on a three-stop strategy. I think I hope that he will take quite a bit of confidence out of that race And, hopefully, take that into the next couple of weekends which are big weekends for him."

These words prove that the team will still have high hopes for the 6-time Grand Prix winner and will want him to finally get a finish on the Podium. Horner and the team will want Perez to get back to his best and give a great performance and finally come out of the rut in which he has been struggling.
