Cody Rhodes could potentially sell his soul to The Rock at SummerSlam, as there have been a couple of hints pointing at it. After outright rejecting to do the same at the Elimination Chamber, claiming he did not have a soul, which was given to the fans, Cody might take a U-turn and shock the world with his upcoming move.

Ahead of WWE SmackDown, Rhodes wore a couple of things that hinted at his association with the Final Boss. One of them was a watch, which The Rock offered as a gift on WWE SmackDown before Elimitnation Chamber 2025, and claimed it to be a symbol of their alliance. Cody rejected it back in time, but was spotted wearing a watch, which could be the one offered by the Final Boss.

The American Nightmare also wore a glass which was similar to the one the People's Champ usually wears. While it could also have been the case of him wearing a glass similar to the one Ethan Page wears, but the chances of it being the case are not high.

The justification for Cody Rhodes' heel turn

At the Elimination Chamber, Cody denied the offer saying he had given his soul to the fans. But it was visible that the fans supported John Cena against Cody in their entire feud and continue to do the same despite Rhodes techincally being the good guy in the story.

It might make the perfect sense for Cody to selel his soul, as he had it back, following the betrayal from the fans. Despite standing for the people and fighting for them, fans turned their back against Rhodes. Hence, his heel turn would be justified, which could be the need of the hour, given he's getting booed.
