Who will John Cena face at SummerSlam? Exploring possibilities after WWE NOC

John Cena overcame CM Punk to defend his Undisputed WWE Championship in a dramatic night at the WWE Night of Champions in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Seth Rollins and Co. interfered in the match and cost Punk a chance of winning his 6th world title. With Cody Rhodes being the King of the Ring, there is a good chance of him being Cena's SummerSlam opponent.

However, things might not be as simple as it seems. Randy faced Cena at Backlash 2025 and felt robbed for not being able to get the job done. He came short in the King of the Ring finals against Cody and suffered second consecutive loss in the PLE.

On the other hand, Punk himself was robbed by referees and would love to get a rematch against Cena. While Triple H claimed Cena to have completed his rivalry against Randy and Punk, it would be interesting if the duo still love to get their hands on Cena.

Will Seth Rollins cash in his Money in the Bank Contract on John Cena at SummerSlam?

On the other hand, Seth has been consistently threatening to cash in his MITB Contract. He was nearly successful in doing so at the Night of Champions, only for Cena to avoid it in time. He will be looking to cash in his contract, which will be a thing to worry for the Leader of the Cenation Army.

Likewise, there is an outside chance of Roman Reigns challenging Cena for the world title. However, for that to happen, he must return as soon as possible. Roman's last match against Cena must happen in a major PLE and there will be nothing bigger than SummerSlam. However, Cody seems to be the most probable SummerSlam opponent for Cena.
