What does The Rock's 3-finger cryptic message has to do with him asking for Cody Rhodes' soul? (Source: Google)
The Rock returned to WWE Smackdown and asked Cody Rhodes for his soul. The Final Boss gave Cody time to think till Elimination Chamber and reply to his offer. The American Nightmare was also a part of the segment at Bad Blood where the People's Champ had a 3-finger cryptic message which has led to discussions about him being a part of the plan.

The Rock asked Cody to be his champion so that he could take him to a different level. The Final Boss felt Cody was a great champion and treated him to be his brother. Despite their differences in the past, Dwayne felt it was only appropriate for him to as Rhodes to be on his side.
The Great One claimed to be Cody's friend since WrestleMania XL. He wanted Cody to give him his soul which shocked everyone. It is to be seen if Rhodes agrees to be a part of The Rock's plan which would also mean his heel turn which has been teased for a long time.

As soon as the segment ended, there were more questions than answers for the fans. It reminded everyone of the People's Champ's cryptic message at Bad Blood where he signalled 3 fingers and indirectly pointed at Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso, and Cody. There have been many attempts to decode what The Rock meant.
However, there could be a case of the cryptic message having everything to do with Cody. He was the only wrestler who featured in all of The Rock's segments since WrestleMania XL. Cody featured on WWE Raw after Mania, Bad Blood, Netflix Premiere, and on WWE Smackdown.
In a genuine way, the Final Boss might need Cody's help to rule the business. In the 3-finger message, Cody could be one of the soldiers of the Great One. The other two fingers might either point Roman and the Bloodline or thr additional members to target them. Cody might surely have everything to do with The Rock's cryptic message.
