Professional wrestlers choose to work in a field that requires extraordinary strength. Performing a suplex requires sufficient strength to raise another person into the air, and even apparently insignificant factors like taking a bump from the technique have the potential to go wrong.

As 2007 approached, David Batista and Mr. Kennedy got into a brief rivalry about the championship. Back in 2007, The Great Khali was scheduled to be a destructive monster during his pursuit of the World Heavyweight Championship. Batista took The Great Khali up on his open challenge at The Great American Bash. Due to an injury, Edge had to give up the championship the week before The Great American Bash. Khali had won a Battle Royal and defeated Batista to take the title as the new World Heavyweight Champion.

The Great Khali would have a strength demonstration moment backstage before his battle against Batista and Rey Mysterio at Unforgiven 2007. The champion would shatter a watermelon and then a cantaloupe while wearing a mask emblazoned with Rey Mysterio's face.

What happened in the match

At one point, Khali would do something like to that of Rey Mysterio, smashing his skull with his hands in a picture that's among the most graphic in WWE history. After losing the World Heavyweight Championship to Batista at this event, Khali would go on to fight the new champion.

Khali controlled the first minute by kicking and punching the turnbuckle. In an attempt to put Khali over, the announcers exaggerated how hard he was striking as he delivered two clotheslines. Khali's kick knocked Batista out of the ring. Khali returned to the ring and gave a clean cut to the head twice. Batista was thrown twice into the ring post by Khali.

Batista was pushed into the turnbuckle by Khali. Even though he didn't usually do that, Batista leaped to the top, and Khali used the Khali Bomb double chokeslam to get two counts. Khali took the steel chair from the referee after Singh threw it into the ring and struck Batista in the back with it. When the referee noticed it, he rang the bell to disqualify the player.
