WATCH: Oscar-winning actor Matthew McConaughey shows up on WWE Smackdown

Matthew McConaughey and his family members showed up at WWE Smackdown. The cameramen spotted the Oscar-winning actor, his wife, and other family members. Matthew sported a huge smile and a 'Hook-em' gesture as the camera focused on him. In 2014, McConaughey won the Best Actor Award at the Academy Awards for his role in the Dallas Buyers Club movie. 

McConaughey has won several awards in his career. The biggest of them was winning the Academy Awards in 2014. Matthew is a Sports Enthusiast just like his family members. He recently showed up to watch some NBA matches. He was also on some of the NFL matches given his time away from acting.

Matthew was spotted after the first segment of the night where Joe Tessitore interviewed Cody Rhodes ahead of the contract signing against Kevin Owens on Saturday Night's Main Event. McConaughey has acted in some of the best movies like 'Dallas Buyers Club', 'The Wolf of Wall Street', 'Interstellar', 'True Detective', 'Killer Joe', and so on.

Earlier in the night, Cody started Smackdown to a roar from the fans. He was asked some questions by Tessitore ahead of his contract signing with KO featuring Shawn Michaels. Cody was asked to talk about HBK being the intermediate between the two. The world champion felt Micaels was the perfect person to carry out the operation.

Cody spoke about the importance of being the champion to headline the main event of WrestleMania. The American Nightmare felt KO had to be taught a lesson to not turn his back on the company. Tessitore asked Rhodes about his thoughts on the new version of Owens.

Cody did not know how to view KO since Bad Blood. He asked the people of Austin to give their opinions. As the fans booed KO, Coody explained the greatness of KO. He claimed Kevin to be a once-in-a-generation wrestler. However, Cody added that KO chooses an easier path than a harder one when provided a choice.
