Kevin Owens explained to Sami Zayn the reason behind not being mad at him for helping Roman Reigns at the Survivor Series War Games. On WWE Raw, KO said he understood that Sami forgave people with whom he had some history. Owens referred to himself and reminded Sami of the time when he had forgiven his past actions.
Sami Zayn entered the ring and announced his name for the Men's Royal Rumble 2025 match. Sami claimed how grateful he was to be among the top WWE Superstars which was not easy for a common man to achieve. Sami felt the only thing he had not achieved in WWE was to be a world champion.

The star wrestler felt he had a great career with the support of the fans and winning the world title was not a need for him. However, Zayn claimed that he wanted to win the world title as it was his childhood dream. That was when the music of KO hit and he headed straight into the ring.
Kevin Owens promises to have Sami Zayn's back at Royal Rumble
Zayn thought his best friend was in the ring to attack him. Sami thought Owens would take revenge for teaming up with Roman. However, KO said he was not mad at Sami. Kevin said he understood Sami better than anyone and added he knew why Sami helped the OTC.
Owens understood Sami helps people with whom he shares history. The star wrestler reminded Sami of his past with himself where the duo fought with each other. KO felt Sami forgave him, similar to how he forgave Roman. Kevin said Sami had the quality of forgiving the close ones.
KO believed Sami could become the world champion by winning the Men's Royal Rumble match. He wished to have a WrestleMania main event match for the world title and was ready to help Sami achieve the same. Kevin hoped Sami would have his back during the match for the Undisputed WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes at Royal Rumble 2025.
