Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods kicked Big E out of the New Day during its 10th-year anniversary on WWE Raw. Kofi and Woods were unhappy that Langston chose himself over them despite having a neck injury. They claimed the likes of Stone Cold Steve Austin, Kurt Angle, and Edge were in action despite having a neck injury.
Adam Pearce invited Xavier and Kingston for the 10-year anniversary celebration of the New Day. He listed out the accomplishments of the faction and termed them as one of the greatest tag teams of all time. Kofi and Woods entered the arena and were about to make an announcement. The duo was about to speak about the New Day's future.

Big E returned to WWE Raw for the first time in over three years. Everyone was excited to see him in the arena. E addressed the division between Woods and Kofi over the last few months. He felt things could be fixed. Big E offered himself to be a manager till he becomes medically clear to wrestle.
Big E was left heartbroken after Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston's accusations
Woods was surprised to see Big E return to WWE Raw after being at the commentary desk all these years. He asked why Big E was there for them now but not when it mattered. Kofi agreed to it and said Big E chose himself and his family over the faction.
Langston tried to explain that he had a neck injury and was getting treated. Kofi and Woods reminded him that many legends in the past like Stone Cold Steve Austin, Kurt Angle, and Edge were in action despite having a neck injury.
Woods went a bit personal and claimed Big E could never return to action. Big E was hurt to hear what Kofi and Woods felt about him. He slowly started to walk away from the ring asking if it was his end in the New Day. Kofi and Woods looked at each other, shook hands, and confirmed they were the New Day.
