In front of an enthusiastic Toronto audience, WWE debuted Money in the Bank, delighting spectators with the evening's excitement. The event was hosted by Trish Stratus, whose presence was anticipated, but who caught everyone off guard was the special guest she brought on. 

On Saturday night, John Cena made an unexpected debut at WWE Money In The Bank. Trish Stratus, host of MITB, gave him an introduction. Cena entered the ring, declared his retirement, and then passionately explained why doing so made sense in Toronto. Cena has on a t-shirt advertising the "The Last Time is Now" tour. 

If you're a fan or a WWE Superstar and you want some, Cena said, come get some because this is his final opportunity. Cena said that he will be leaving the WWE. The 16-time WWE champion then gave an emotional promo in which he thanked everyone and said goodbye.

When John Cena entered the main match of WrestleMania 40—Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns—he made his WWE comeback for the first time since WrestleMania weekend in April. He then made a cameo on Raw the following night.

Cena's tenure with WWE will not end here. In 2025, he will participate on Raw when it streams on Netflix, as well as compete at the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber. At the press conference following the program, Cena pledged to provide additional details. He also declared that his final match will be at WrestleMania 41, which should be a very touching occasion.

John Cena thanked fans for thier support

When Cena, 47, does, retire from professional wrestling, it will be a first for the industry. However, he is about to go on an extraordinary comeback/retirement stretch that promises to be an incredibly memorable one.

Cena continued by thanking the audience for their support over the years, mentioning Toronto and Canada in particular as places that had contributed to the creation of happy memories for him during his career. Cena said that he will be making a return visit to Toronto as part of the 2025 Farewell Tour, telling both WWE stars and fans that they had best come grab some if they want it!

Although John Cena will be missed in the WWE, his legacy will live on in the WWE Universe indefinitely.
