On this day in 2011, John Cena announced the WWE universe of Osama Bin Laden's death. On the 1st of May, WWE had its third PPV event, Extreme Rules, and Cena main evented the night. After the match, Cena addressed the 10000 people in the arena that the man responsible for the USA's trauma was executed. The announcement had cheers and claps from the fans.

The 16-time world champion claimed that he comes every night to the ring wearing hustle, loyalty, and respect on his sleeves and added that they (USA) have caught and compromised to a premanent end of Osama Bin Laden. The fans were happy with the news and chanted 'USA'. Cena added that it was one feat which made him proud to be a citizen of the USA.

Osama Bin Laden was a terrorist who executed the operation of 9/11. The twin towers in New York were destroyed by him and the terror gang. For more than 7 years, the government tried to find the culprit behind the tragic incident. After finding the hiding location on several instances, the USA executed the terrorist in 2011 in his hiding place. The entire world celebrated the death of Osama.

John Cena's Extreme Rules 2011 match

In the main event of Extreme Rules 2011, the WWE title from Raw was on the line. The defending champion, The Miz, was up against Cena and John Morrison in a triple threat steel cage match. It was a good match and the fans were invested in it. After being partners for a long time in ECW and later on the main rosters, Morrison and The Miz became foes and fought for the title.

In just the third Extreme Rules PPV event, Morrison and The Miz showed their in-ring ability to perform in a tiring match like that of Hell in a Cell Match. Cena had the last laugh as he won the WWE title. Additionally, there were some others matches. Kofi Kingston beat Sheamus in the tables match to claim the United States Championship. Christian Cage beat Alberto Del Rio to win the World Heavyweight Championship.
